FINAL YEAR PROJECT:

FPGA Based Face Recognition System

Face recognition systems play a vital role in many applications including surveillance, biometrics and security. We have implemented real time face recognition application on FPGA, using soft-core processor NIOS II on Altera DE-2 board and programmed in C-Language by implementing PCA (Principle Component Analysis) algorithm for face recognition.
